This year in October the international certification company Bureau Veritas carried out certification audits in Epokate and certified that the production of floor covering materials conforms to the quality management standard ISO 9001:2008 and the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2004. The corresponding certificates of conformity were awarded to Mr Janno Sild, manager of Epokate, at the beginning of November. The mentioned certificates will give our clients the surety that the production of Epokate floor covering conforms to all valid requirements, has been checked and is of high quality.

In June 2010    our cooperation partner Artium ITC delivered and installed a new dissolver-mixer PENDRAULIK DISSOLVER TYPE D-WDU 11. It has been made in the German company Pendraulik GmbH and is meant for mixing and pigmenting of resin coatings. With this device Epokate OÜ will be able to produce high-quality self-levelling pigmented epoxy coatings as well as pigmented epoxy thin coatings. Already the first estimations of floor installation companies regarding new self-levelling epoxy coatings are very good.

In December 2009 Epokate OÜ was awarded the rating “good” (A) by Krediidiinfo AS on the basis of the economic data of the three last years (2006, 2007 and 2008). The rating of Krediidiinfo is an overall assessment given to companies on the basis of economic, financial and tax behaviour. The truthfulness of the assessment is confirmed by the fact that Krediidiinfo AS is a subsidiary of the leading credit information concern Experian. At the same time it is an essential sign as Epokate OÜ is a small scale enterprise that started its activity lately and its development has been sustainable and management correct.

YIT Ehitus AS started the construction of the production and warehousing building of OÜ Epokate in December 2008 and it was ready by the first days of May 2009. In the production and warehousing building, built according to the design of OÜ Tareke Projekt, there is in total over 505 m2 of production and non-work rooms. In the building there is a production room of 185 m2 for the production and packaging of resin materials, the warehousing room with the space of 100 m2 and the height of 7 m for the storage of raw and finished materials, rest rooms for workers (36 m2), office rooms (165 m2), separate laboratories and archives. The design and the building were accomplished in compliance with all the regulations for an enterprise of chemical industry. After moving in and commencement of production in December 2009, the Tartu Rural Municipality gave the authorisation for use of the building.

The building is situated in the vicinity of Tartu, in Vahi Industrial Park, at the address Savimäe 5, Vahi Village, Tartu Rural Municipality, Tartu County. There is a good access to the lot for transporters and convenient loading and unloading facilities.

The production and warehousing building enables to advance the production development of Epokate OÜ and ensures the stable, modern and convenient working conditions for production and development activity.

In October, 2008, we signed cooperation agreement with Remmers Baltica OÜ, the affiliated company of  German building materials manufacturer Remmers GmbH. This agreement provides that Remmers will supply Epokate with pigmented resin materials and Epokate receives distributorship rights to sell pigmented self levelling epoxy coatings and polyurethane varnish in Estonia, Baltic States and Scandinavian countries. In addition to that the Epokate can offer to floor builders epoxy self levelling coatings, polyurethane resin coatings, water based epoxy coatings, and polyurethane varnishes (UV resistant varnishes, matte varnishes, relief varnishes).
